Account & Data Deletion

In full accordance with Google Play Store User Data policies, users of Snippet (com.stackmassage.stackmassage) may delete their account and associated data directly within the mobile application or through this web portal.

Instant Method

Option 1: Inside the Snippet App

If you still have the Snippet Android app installed, you can trigger instant account removal yourself:

  1. Open the Snippet app on your device.
  2. Tap on your Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the Settings (gear icon) at the top right.
  4. Select Account & Security.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Confirm your identity to execute instant removal.
Instant execution: Session revoked and database record deleted immediately.
No App Required

Option 2: Online Web Request

If you uninstalled Snippet or no longer have access to your device, complete our verified web deletion form below:

  • •Provide your registered account email (Google Sign-In or Email Auth).
  • •Choose full account purge or specific user-generated content deletion.
  • •Receive a tracking ticket reference identifier.
  • •Completed within 30 calendar days across all Firebase servers.
Processed manually by privacy engineers with verification email.

Must match the email used to authenticate with Google or Email Auth in Snippet.

What Data is Deleted vs. Retained

Permanently Deleted Data

  • Firebase Authentication credentials (Email, UID, Password hash, Google OAuth link).
  • User profile document, display name, handle, bio, and avatar.
  • All published posts, articles, and short-form video files.
  • Ephemeral stories and uploaded media previews stored in Firebase Storage buckets.
  • Comments, upvotes, likes, and collection bookmarks.
  • Direct messaging chat history and sent voice notes.

Temporarily Retained (Audit & Compliance)

  • Anonymized deletion logs (Ticket ID and timestamp to prove regulatory compliance).
  • Financial or transaction records (if any in-app purchases were made, retained per statutory tax laws).
  • Security audit logs retained up to 90 days to prevent repeat abuse or ban evasion.
